Let’s make the city of Covina more

Affordable, Accessible,

and Safe for Everyone.

Dr. bri Sérráno

Covina city council district 5

Vote on June 2, 2026

The Issues

  • Affordability in Covina

Working Families should NEVER have to choose between paying bills and skipping meals.

Rising housing costs, groceries, healthcare, and basic needs due to federal legislation have led people to face the possibility of becoming unhoused. The City of Covina should provide adequate financial support and emergency funding for the most vulnerable in our community. As your councilmember and growing up in a working-class intergenerational household, Dr. Bri will advocate for supplemental funding for residents, families, and the elderly, and propose creative solutions.

  • Safety for all residents

All Residents should feel they belong in Covina, safe in all forms: physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Councilmembers need to acknowledge, affirm, & engage with the regional & national political climate of Covinian’s experiences regardless of race, ethnicity, citizenship status, sexuality, gender identity, income, homeownership status, or age.

Safety and legal aid resources should be provided to residents that reflect the diversity of Covina. Dr. Bri Sérráno has spoken out against the federal overreach of ICE Raids in Covina at City Council meetings & has engaged in mutual aid work. The advocacy he has done has provided unique insight into the impact of residents, business owners, and employees in Covina.

  • Accessibility & Transparency

As an educator & former union member, Dr. Bri has always been a public servant for people of all ages and backgrounds. Access to local government, resources, and education is essential for all people in Covina.

Dr. Bri Sérráno believes transparency comes in many forms: business and investment disclosures, avenues for the city council, such as District Townhalls, and outreach events. As a public servant, a councilmember needs to make informed decisions informed by residents.
